Mr. LUO Hong Patent Attorney, Trademark Attorney, Attorney-at-Law Mr. Luo received his B. S. in Chemical Engineering from the South China University of Technology in 1982, and started his IP career with the CCPIT in the same year, dealing with legal affairs. He joined CPA in 1985, and qualified as a patent attorney in the same year. From 1988 to 1989, he pursued further studies in IP laws at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong. He was conferred the MBA degree in 1996, and qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2001. Mr. Luo is skillful in drafting patent application documents in the fields of chemical engineering and petrochemical engineering, and experienced in preparing responses to office actions in the substantive examination proceedings, in handling cases of patent reexamination and invalidation, and IP-related administrative litigation and infringement litigation, and in providing infringement analyst and consultation. Mr. Luo is now President of China Patent & Trademark Agent (U.S.A.) Ltd., a subsidiary of CPA. He is a member of the board of the US-China Lawyers Society, a council member of the Guangdong Trademark Association, a member of LES U.S.A. and Canada, a member of INTA, and a member of All-China Patent Agents Association.
