Ms. ZANG Jichen  
Patent Attorney

Ms. Zang received her B.S. in Optoelectronics from East China Normal University in 2000, and studied Japanese in Japan for a year as part of her undergraduate programme. She started her IP career with the Shanghai Patent & Trademark Agency in 2000, and qualified as a patent attorney in 2002. She joined CPA in 2005, and received training on U.S. patent law and practice with a law firm in the United States in 2012. Ms. Zang is specialised in the fields of optoelectronics, telecommunications, computer, semiconductor devices and materials, image processing, business methods, e-commerce, mechanics, and electromechanics. She is experienced in drafting application documents, preparing responses to office actions in the substantive examination proceedings, handling patent reexamination and invalidation cases, dealing with patent administrative litigation, and making patent infringement analysis. Ms. Zang is good at Japanese and has represented CPA on several occasions to discuss complicated patent cases with clients in Japan. She is a member of All-China Patent Agents Association.
