Mr. KE Ke

Mr. Ke received his B.S. in environmental biology from Nanjing University in 2002 and his LLM from Renmin University of China in 2007. He worked as a patent examiner in the Pharmaceutical and Biological Invention Examination Department of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) from 2002 to 2008. He worked as a patent attorney in the Chemical Department of CPA during 2008 to 2012 handling patent prosecution, and in the Legal Affairs Department of CPA since July, 2012 handling patent related litigation and consultation. Mr. Ke qualified as an attorney-at-law in 2006 and as a patent attorney in 2009. He received further training on U.S. patent law and practice with a law firm in the United States in 2012.

Mr. Ke is skillful in handling patent prosecution, invalidation, litigation etc. in the field of chemistry and biology, especially patent administrative litigation, and has won some patent administrative litigation cases as the attorney of plaintiff.

Mr. Ke participated in the research project on the third amendment to the Implementing Regulations of Chinese Patent Law and the drafting of Internal Guidelines of Patent Examination of SIPO. He has published several academic articles in IP journals.

Mr. Ke is a member of the Chinese Group of AIPPI and the chairman of the special committee Q166 (IP and Genetic Resources / Traditional Knowledge) of the Chinese Group of AIPP. He is also a member of LES China and All China Patent Agents Association.
