CPA & its Four Senior Attorneys Recognised in IAM Patent 1000

In the recently published 2018 edition of IAM Patent 1000, the guide of the UK magazine IAM (Intellectual Asset Management) that identifies the leading patent firms and professionals around the globe, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) was ranked as a highly recommended firm in patent prosecution, and a gold firm in patent litigation and transactions in China, both being the top-tier honour in the respective categories.

According to IAM, the firm rankings are based on the firm's depth of experience, market presence, and level of work it typically engages in, and being ranked in the gold band means that the firm has attracted the most positive comments, with their success hinging on reputations established over lengthy periods of time.

Specifically, our firm was commended in the IAM guide as follows: "One of China’s oldest, largest and best-respected patent practices, China Patent Agent has spent over three decades securing and enforcing rights protection for foreign and Chinese patrons. Drawing on the virtually unmatched technical prowess of over 200 patent attorneys, the firm provides the full suite of patent services and is best known for its management of substantial patent portfolios."

In addition to the firm rankings, four CPA senior patent attorneys were individually recognised as leading patent professionals in China in the IAM guide: CPA general manager Mr. Zeng Xiangling and deputy general manager Ms. Tina Tai as recommended lawyers/patent attorneys in patent prosecution; assistant general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe as highly recommended and Shanghai Office director Mr. Xiong Yanfeng as recommended lawyers/patent attorneys in the category of patent litigation and transactions. As noted by IAM, recommended Individuals are patent professionals identified by market sources for their exceptional skill sets and profound insights into patent matters.

The IAM Patent 1000, in its seventh edition this year, has been based on extensive research and 1,800 interviews with attorneys at law, patent attorneys, and in-house counsel over five months in 40-plus key jurisdictions.
