According to the magazine, only those individuals identified by market sources for their exceptional skill sets and profound insights into patent matters will be included in IAM Patent 1000.

This year's IAM rankings derived its ratings on the basis of extensive research as well as 1,800-plus interviews conducted with attorneys at law, patent attorneys, and in-house counsel over 5 months in more than 50 key jurisdictions, taking into account such factors as depth of knowledge, market presence, the level of work, as well as peer and client feedback.

At the same time, the magazine has also released the 2020 edition of IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists, and our Shanghai Office director Mr. Xiong Yanfeng was again awarded the title, an honour which he has enjoyed for years in succession, reflecting market recognition of his outstanding capacity in strategic operation within the IP community.

The award identifies the individuals who are leading the way in the development and implementation of strategies that maximise the value of IP portfolios, primarily through confidential nominations, followed by extensive research with senior members of the global IP community.
