Ms. LIU Hong
Patent Attorney


Ms. Liu received her B.S. in Information Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. After graduation, she worked as an engineer on the R&D of mobile communication devices and drafting of the mobile communications standards. From 1996 to 2003, she worked as a senior examiner for the Patent Office and subsequently the Patent Reexamination Board of the State Intellectual Property Office, substantially examining various patent cases involving computer-based communications methods and products. She also received her training on patent examination and practice with the EPO in 1999. Ms. Liu joined CPA in 2003 and received further training course on US patent laws and practice in the US in 2006. And, she obtained her L.L.M from the John Marshall Law School in 2008. She is skillful in drafting application documents in the fields, such as mobile telecommunications, network telecommunications and software-based communications, and experienced in preparing responses to office actions in the substantive examination proceedings, handling patent reexamination and invalidation cases, and dealing with relevant administrative litigation involving patent. She also has rich experience in providing patent infringement analysis. She is a member of All-China Patent Agents Association. Working languages: Chinese and English.
