Patent Attorney

Mr. Tang earned his B.S. in Material Science and Engineer from Southwest Jiao Tong University in 2002, and his M.S. in Microelectronics from Fudan University in 2008. During his graduate project, he has done researches in the area of resistive memory. He also published several papers regarding to novel type of memory, and filed several China patents regarding to the manufacturing or design of memory as one of co-inventors. He was qualified as a patent attorney in 2009.

Before starting his IP career, Mr. Tang gained industry experience working as a mechanical engineer from 2002 to 2004 in a large state-owned enterprise. He worked as a patent engineer at an intellectual property law firm in Shanghai from 2008 to 2009.

Mr. Tang joined China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. in July 2009. He has prepared and prosecuted hundreds of domestic and overseas patent applications, especially drafted key patent applications for a certain Fortune Global 500 enterprise. He has also completed tens of patent search and analysis projects as a driver in technical fields such as motor vehicle, chemical engineering and microelectronic, and participated in appeals before the Patent Reexamination Board (PRB) of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO).

Mr. Tang focuses his practice on patent-related issues in electrical and mechanical fields, including semiconductor devices, fabrication methods, digital and analog circuits, data processing; computer hardware, display devices, motor vehicle and rail vehicle manufacture, elevator and escalator. He is skillful in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, freedom to operate searching and assessing, invalidation search, infringement analysis, patent invalidation, and helping to guide designing around.

Mr. Tang is a member of All-China Patent Agents Association. Working languages: Chinese and English.
