The State Council Information Office published a white paper titled "New Progress in China's Protection for Intellectual Property Rights" (http://english.people.com.cn/ whitepaper/ipr2005/ipr2005.html) on April 21, 2005. The white paper, comprising of 13 thousand characters, provides a comprehensive introduction on the strong action and painstaking efforts Chinese government has taken to protect intellectual property and the significant progress that has been achieved.
