Draft Interpretation on Application of Law in Handling Criminal IP Infringement Cases Available for Public Comments
To strengthen the criminal judicial protection for intellectual property (IP) rights and impose punishment on IP infringement-related criminal offences in the country, the Supreme People's Court (SPC) and the Supreme People's Procuratorate ("SPP") have drafted, on the basis of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China and the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China, the Interpretation on Several Issues Relating to Application of Law in Handling Criminal Cases Involving Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights (Draft for Comments) and it is now available for public comments.
