CPA General Manager Attends Symposium on 40 Years of Implementation of Chinese Patent Law
Recently, Mr. Wu Yuhe, general manager of our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), was invited to attend a symposium on the 40th anniversary of the implementation of the Patent Law of the People's Republic of China hosted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in Beijing.
The symposium summarised the role of the Patent Law in servicing and fostering the country's economic and social development over the past 40 years, traced the path taken to continuously improve the national patent legal system, and delved into the specific measures that have been adopted to build a strong intellectual property (IP) nation.
At the symposium, CNIPA former deputy commissioner Mr. Liao Tao, representatives of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, innovation entities, and IP agencies as well as industry experts and scholars spoke in turn, sharing their observations and experience related to the development of the Patent Law from their long term work history in the IP field.
The symposium was addressed by CNIPA commissioner Mr. Shen Changyu and moderated by CNIPA deputy commissioner Mr. Zhang Zhicheng, who also made the closing speech.
