CPA Attorney Speaks on Enterprise' Overseas Patent Layout Strategy for IP Event Held in Zhejiang (Hangzhou) IP Innovation Industrial Park

On 23 April 2025, a series of activities under the theme of "Fostering Intellectual Property, Establishing Links to the World" hosted by Intellectual Property Special Committee of Hangzhou International Chamber of Commerce was held in Zhejiang (Hangzhou) Intellectual Property Innovation Industrial Park. Conducted on the eve of the 25th World Intellectual Property Day, this event aimed at exploring effective routes for Hangzhou enterprises going overseas and integrating themselves into the global innovation network.

The event featured two keynote speeches, one of which was delivered by our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA)'s patent attorney at Shanghai Office Mr. Wang Bin. His sharing was on the topic of "Enterprise' Overseas Patent Layout Strategy - Routes and Cost", in which Mr. Wang leveraged his practical experience to provide enterprises going overseas with some directions for considerations, in such aspects as purposes of extending patent portfolios overseas and regional considerations, various routes of filing overseas patent applications and the pros and cons thereof, as well as cost structure of overseas patent layout and operations strategy for cost control.
