CPA Shenzhen Office Receives Eurasian IP Study Delegation

On 16 April 2025, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) Shenzhen Office received a delegation comprising 30 intellectual property (IP)-related officials from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and other Eurasian countries, who were participants of the Intellectual Property Study Programme for Belt and Road Countries in Eurasia sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM). This visit, being part of MOFCOM's Belt and Road legal talent training programmes, aimed at deepening the participating countries' understanding of China's IP service industry.

CPA Shenzhen Office director Ms. Wang Danqing welcomed the delegation on behalf of our firm. During the exchange session, our colleagues gave an overview of China's IP service industry, introduced CPA's history and business scope, and outlined with public data the achievements and development trends of IP cooperation between China and the Eurasian countries of the Belt and Road Initiative. Ms. Wang also specially recommended the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo to the participants as a platform for exploring and furthering cooperation opportunities in China. In addition, CPA invited officials from the Futian Bureau of Shenzhen Market Supervision and Regulation Bureau to share the agency's experience in building and maintaining IP protection in the district, in such aspects as policy support and law enforcement.

Following was the Q&A time, which turned out to be a lively discussion and valuable sharing session, with the participants asking questions touching on hot topics related to legal practice, overseas rights protection, application of AI technology, IP talent training and management, etc., and our colleagues answering questions and sharing views citing typical cases and drawing on their practical experience.

CPA, with a history of 41 years, has built a global service network to help Chinese and foreign companies achieve IP layout in China and overseas as well as protection and commercialisation of their IP rights. In the future, CPA will continue to participate actively in international exchanges and cooperation, and contribute to the creation of a sound international innovation ecosystem.
