CNIPA Solicits Public Opinions on Draft Amendment to Patent Examination Guidelines

Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) published the Draft Amendment to the Guidelines for Patent Examination (Draft for Comments) for solicitation of public opinions. The Draft Amendment brings changes with a focus on aligning the Guidelines with the development of new fields and new business forms, and addressing the reasonable demands of innovation entities in connection with the patent examination, grant and validity procedures.

Interested parties may voice opinions about specific improvements to the Draft Amendment by email to zhinan@cnipa.gov.cn on or before 15 June 2025.
