CPA Continues to be Ranked Top Tier Patent Prosecution and Trademark Prosecution Firm & 5 CPA Litigators Named Outstanding IP Practitioners in MIP IP Stars 2025
The Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) magazine has recently released the results of its 2025 IP Stars rankings. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) is glad to report that in this year's MIP rankings, our firm continued to be ranked a Tier 1 firm in both patent prosecution and trademark prosecution categories; in addition, CPA was recommended by MIP for both patent contentious and trademark contentious work. Our firm is honoured to be rated a top tier firm by MIP for years in a row, thanks to peers and clients' recognition of our technical expertise and our unwavering devotion to providing high-quality service.
The rankings were derived based on six months' interviews, e-mail, and online surveys of thousands of corporations and law firms, publicly available information such as those disclosed by the courts and IP offices, and information submitted by firms, taking into considerations factors such as the candidates' caseload, work quality, professional proficiency, attorney team, client feedback, and market reputation.
We are also pleased to share that on top of the aforesaid honours, CPA's five senior attorneys continued to be on the lists of MIP's outstanding practitioners, in which general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe and deputy general manager Mr. Xiong Yanfeng won the title of Patent Star; deputy general manager Mr. Hu Gong was named Trademark Star; and Electricity Department manager Mr. Liu Peng and litigator Mr. Tang Chunlong recognised as Notable Practitioner. The outstanding practitioner lists were determined through broad-based surveys conducted by MIP's research teams based in London, New York, and Hong Kong in combination with feedback and comments from peers and clients.
MIP, as a provider of widely respected specialist guides for reference of the global IP industry, assesses and ranks IP firms and practitioners worldwide on an annual basis. The rankings, having been conducted for over three decades, cover a variety of IP practice areas in more than 70 jurisdictions.
