CPA General Manager Moderates Innovation Chain Zone Panel Discussion at 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo

On 17 July 2025, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe alongside deputy general managers Mr. Xiong Yanfeng and Mr. Hu Gang attended the thematic event on Innovation Chain Zone held during the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing.

The event, themed "Innovation-Driven · Chain-Linked Future — Empowering New Quality Productive Forces through Intellectual Property and Scientific and Technological Innovation", was opened by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) vice chairman Mr. Yu Jianlong, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) deputy commissioner Mr. Lu Pengqi, and International Trademark Association (INTA) CEO Mr. Etienne Sanz de Acedo. Keynote speakers of the event included Mr. David Muls, senior director of Madrid Registry of the Brands & Designs Sector of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and Mr. Wang Jiwu, chairman of Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd.

CCPIT vice chairman Mr. Yu Jianlong in his opening remarks emphasised that innovation is the undertone as well as the life force of the Chain Expo, and this innovation chain zone, being a new feature of the Chain Expo, presents the entire transformation process of scientific and technological achievements from research and development to commercialisation. Mr. Yu urged relevant parties to continue fostering scientific and technological progress through high-quality international exchanges and cooperation, stimulating innovation through quality IP protection, and driving the accelerated development of new quality productive forces through efficient outcomes transformation, to thereby jointly contribute to the maintenance of the multilateral trading system and the stability and smoothness of the global industrial and supply chain.

At the panel discussion on the theme of "IP Transformation and Application in Emerging Technologies and Technological Innovation", Mr. Wu Yuhe, general manager of our firm, moderated discussion surrounding the theme. The participating guests included Mr. Tao Wei, director of System Institute at the China Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team; Mr. Sun Lijin, vice president of Nuctech Company Limited; Ms. Amy Mi, vice president and director of intellectual property of ZTE Corporation; Mr. Sun Zhang, general manager and senior engineer of China Technology Exchange; and Mr. Li Hongjiang, executive partner of Guantao Law Firm.

This Innovation Chain Zone thematic event was hosted by the China Chamber of International Commerce and presided over by Mr. Yu Yi, director of CCPIT Legal Affairs Department. More than 300 representatives from global IP organisations, multinational companies, scientific research institutions, and law firms participated in the event. CPA participants had extensive and in-depth exchanges with other participants at the event on issues related to the theme of how to empower new quality productive forces through IP and Scientific and technological innovation.
