China-Arab States Expo 2025 to Host its First-Ever Standardisation & IP Matchmaking Event
The China-Arab States Expo, in its 7th edition this year, is going to take place on 28-31 August 2025 in Yinchuan, Ningxia in north-western China at the Sheraton Hotel. The event, organised by the League of Arab States, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee, in cooperation with the Union of Arab Chambers, features exhibitions and high-level matchmaking sessions in the areas of trade and investment, new energy and other vital sectors.
As noted by Ningxia Market Supervision and Administration Department deputy director Mr. Ma Lixin at a recent press briefing, the China-Arab States Expo this year will hold a standardisation and intellectual property matchmaking session, which marks the first-ever activity of its kind at the Expo. During the session, a standardisation cooperation agreement will be signed between the Arab States Standardisation (Ningxia) Research Centre, the Asia-Europe-Africa Joint Trade and Investment Promotion Association, and the China-Arab Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Park. The agreement aims at deepening cooperation of the parties in research and development, technological breakthroughs and mutual recognition of standards, information sharing and resource integration, capacity building and training, and project collaboration.
The Expo will also feature several official releases, including the releases of a number of national standards in foreign language versions relating to sustainable development such as energy efficiency, green assessment, carbon accounting, eco-friendly building, and green energy; the 2024 Ningxia Technical Trade Measures Report, which focuses on key countries including Arab countries and Ningxia's major trading partners and specialty industries such as cool-weather vegetables; as well as the results of a comparison of clean energy standards between China and Arab countries in solar energy, wind energy, and hydrogen energy.
