CPA Co-organises Main Forum of Global Business and Law Conference 2025 in Qingdong
On 5 November 2025, the Global Business and Law Conference hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) was held in Qingdao, Shandong province, China. Bringing together more than 1,000 participants from 47 countries and regions including heads of major international organisations, global legal institutions and business associations, as well as representatives of renowned enterprises, and leading experts and scholars, the conference aimed at encouraging enhanced collaboration between global business and legal communities, promoting international rule of law concepts, and advancing global economic governance.
The theme of this year's conference was "Strengthening International Cooperation on Rule of Law to Promote Inclusive Economic Development". The conference featured one main forum and two parallel forums.

Co-organised by our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) together with CCPIT Commercial Legal Service Center and China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), the main forum focused on discussing legal challenges and responses to unimpeded industrial and supply chains, and explored how legal services can more effectively support enterprises in stabilising and strengthening their supply chains, as well as in conducting international operations, through compliance governance, policy analysis, and practical operational guidance.
At the forum, Ms. Cheng Yeuk-wah, secretary-general of International Organization for Mediation, delivered a keynote speech, and presentations on the theme were given by Ms. Shen Lin, deputy director general of Bureau of Lawyers' Work of Ministry of Justice; Ms. Yang Haiyan, deputy director of Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA); Mr. Yu Weifeng, vice chairman of Belt and Road Legal Affairs Alliance; and Mr. Adrian Emch, former chair of Legal and Competition Working Group of European Union Chamber of Commerce in China.
In addition to the main forum, the conference also featured two parallel forums comprising keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, delving into topics surrounding the themes of "Legal System Development and Dispute Resolution from a Global Perspective" and "Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence in the Wave of Innovation" respectively.
