CPA Named Again by MIP as Firm of the Year for Patent Prosecution in China

On 6 November 2025, MIP and asialaw's collaborative Asia Pacific Awards Ceremony 2025 recognising intellectual property (IP) and general legal expertise across the region was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) is very glad to report that our firm was again recognised by MIP magazine as Firm of the Year for Patent Prosecution in China. We are the sole winner of the category in the country. CPA deputy general manager Mr. Xiong Yanfeng represented our firm and received the award at the ceremony.

MIP (Managing Intellectual Property), a premier IP news, analysis and rankings provider, identifies leading IP firms and practitioners annually on the basis of publicly available information related to influential cases and important work of IP firms in Asian countries and regions over the past 12 months, in combination with feedback and comments from questionnaires and interviews with key industry practitioners.

CPA is one of the earliest established and largest IP firms in China, with over 40 years of experience in patent agency and related legal services. Our quality service and commitment have won us a leading position in invention patent agency and handling patent invalidation disputes. As of February 2025, according to third-party statistics, CPA topped in the number of invention patent grants from the domestic and foreign-related applications we prosecuted, with the number approaching 230,000, making it the only firm in China attaining over 200,000 grants. In 2025 so far, our firm has seen significant growth in the number of domestic and foreign-related patent applications as well as patent validity cases handled.
