CPA Participates in Business of IP Asia Forum 2025

On 4-5 December 2025, the Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia Forum) 2025 was held in Hong Kong. Our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) participated in the forum with a delegation led by general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe and deputy general manager Mr. Xiong Yanfeng.

This year's BIP Asia Forum, in its 15th edition, invited 120-plus speakers including policymakers, intellectual property (IP) experts, and leaders from the legal, financial, and business sectors to share their insights and explore the potential of IP for corporate development and financing under the theme of "Leverage IP to Finance Business Growth". Among an array of programmes and activities at the forum were keynote session "IP Valuation and Financing", sharing session "HSITP [Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park] as an Innovation and Technology Bridgehead for IP Commercialisation", "IP Go-Global Business Matching Session", and "Bringing Tech to Business – Innovation Demo".

Mr. Li Shengjun, deputy head of the Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA); Mr. Algernon Yau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong SAR; and Ms. Wang Binying, deputy director general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), attended the forum and delivered special address for the occasion.

This year, CPA continued to participate in the exhibition at the forum, providing consultation and answering queries from the participants on IP-related issues. Our delegation also seized the free time between sessions to have brief meeting and exchanges with clients and associates, and actively engage in friendly discussions on pertinent subjects with representatives from WIPO and other IP organisations, Hong Kong Intellectual Property Department officials, and industry peers.
