CPA Successfully Hosts INTA Pre-Annual Meeting Reception 2026 in Shanghai
This year's INTA (International Trademark Association) Pre-Annual Meeting Reception in China was successfully held in Jing'an district, Shanghai on 26 March 2026. The reception was hosted by our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) with the support of Global Service Program Council.
Chaired by CPA deputy general manager Mr. Hu Gang, the event gathered more than 80 participants including industry experts and corporate intellectual property (IP) managers to discuss frontier IP issues. A speech was delivered by relevant official from the Development and Reform Commission of Jing'an District, and the head of Shanghai Jing'an District High-end Service Industry Development Research Center provided a general profile of Global Service Program Council. Additionally, Ms. Monica Su, chief representative of INTA China, briefed on the upcoming INTA annual meeting to be held in London.

During the thematic session, CPA deputy general manager Mr. Hu introduced our firm's recently released publication "The Guide to Trademark Layout and Protection in the Middle East and North Africa", which systematically covers the trademark systems of 13 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, a less-explored area in domestic research. Other speakers included CPA Shanghai Office director Mr. Tan Zuoxi, King & Wood Mallesons partner Mr. Ding Xianjie, and NIO Inc.'s global trademark team leader Ms. Zeng Yingxian, sharing their insights on various topics related to IP practices.

The reception also featured a roundtable discussion, moderated by CPA International Filing Department deputy manager Ms. Rachel Zhang. Speakers at the roundtable talked about their main takeaways from past INTA annual meetings and delved into challenges of brand expansion overseas. Following was an open discussion, during which key industry trends, AI application, and cooperation opportunities, among other topics, were touched upon. Participants also expressed their appreciation of this reception as a platform for broadening their business perspectives and gaining inspiration for future international exchanges and practice implementation.
