CPA Attends SEP Summit Asia 2026

On 15-16 April 2026, Mr. Xiong Yanfeng, deputy general manager of our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), along with CPA Electronic and Electrical Department deputy manager Ms. Hu Lili, attended the SEP Summit Asia 2026 hosted by IAM in Hong Kong.

The summit featured focused presentations and roundtable sessions, with over 30 speakers sharing insights on standard essential patents (SEP) in practice relating to the Asia-Pacific region, delving into complex SEP issues, pursuing deepened understanding of the issues, and offering perspectives to address key challenges. Topics covered in the discussions included China's IP strategies, SEP development in Europe, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) pathways, and patent licensing and litigation across multiple jurisdictions.

The event was participated by 150-plus influential patent practitioners and industry leaders including representatives from global technology companies, among them InterDigital, Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, OPPO, and Xiaomi. CPA was glad to have taken this opportunity to actively communicate with the participants and have in-depth sharing and exchanges with them over a wide range of topics.
