China and Saudi Arabia Sign Copyright Cooperation MOU
On 9 July 2026, the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property (SAIP) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in copyright and related rights in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to the MOU, China and Saudi Arabia will further strengthen copyright cooperation, through regular exchange of legal and technical information concerning copyright and related rights, promoting mutual visits and training programmes for copyright administrators and industry professionals, and fostering collaboration between copyright management organisations in the two countries.
This memorandum marks a deepening of cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia in copyright-related rights, and is expected to serve as a model and catalyst for strengthening copyright collaboration with Arab nations.
